Developing Models for Accredited Qualifications for those working with asylum seekers and refugees
Is a toolkit for those in European qualification Authorities comparing four member states approaches to building capacity in this sec tor. It compares Scotland, Finland, Poland and Austria, including a small comparative Qualifications Framework for the relevant countries’ education systems and compares the asylum process in the countries too. It was produced by the ASAP transnational partnership between 2005-2007 and was funded by the European Union under the EQUAL programme.
As a result of this project Bridges Programmes co-wrote two qualifications for people working with asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland, a National Progression Award and a Personal Development Award These qualifications are verified and are available for SQA recognised learning centres to deliver.
The toolkit was developed as part of the ASAP transnational partnership comprising projects from Austria, Finland, Poland, Italy, Lithuania and Scotland and funded by the ESF under the EQUAL Community Initiative Programme.
Empowering Asylum Seekers, Developing Good Practice
Is a toolkit containing a collection of activities, case studies and resources to help projects and practitioners, refugee and migrant community groups, support asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. It is particularly useful for organisations who are just starting out in this area.
