BRIDGES PROGRAMME NEWS
Bridges Programmes was awarded a further years funding from the Scottish Government's Race Religion and refugee Fund in the recent funding round. This will allow the core business of Bridges work continue for another twelve months, while other longer term funding is secured.
The Comic Relief funded programme Vibrant Glasgow has completed its frst 18 months. This unique partnership between Bridges, Celtic and Rangers Football clubs has provided a mixed age range group of clients with an exciting 9 month programme of Life Skills support, healthy living education, sports activities and coaching skills and IT training.
Bridges is aiming to develop its already strong transnational links by developing a new partnership under the current call for Community Actions in the Euroepan Integration Fund, to promote faster integration to the workplace though employer engagement and vocational training for the traget group. Partenrs will be from Scotland, England, Flanders, Reunion Islands, Poland and Germany.
Bridges has marked the start of its tenth year in operation by awarding certificates of Recognition for all of its current host employers includibng those who have offered placement opportunities over the year and thos ewho have helped clinets into work.
